The Nike Air Yeezy rumors finally have come to fruition. After a year of rumored designs a release date has finally been set for Kanye West’s official “Air Yeezy’s”. The first DunkXchange of 2009 in Miami went down yesterday at Metropolis in Downtown and was a huge success. Hundreds of sneaker fiends and collectors (and resellers) stopped by to take a glance at the turnout of other like-minded individuals, but most importantly, the turnout of exclusive and hard-to-find sneakers that they could possibly get their hands on. 305 Magazine was the title sponsor for this event and we had a table with a couple display sneakers (that were not for sale) and also a couple shirts on display that we later gave away on stage via the host for the afternoon, Hollywood P - who also on behalf of Shoe Gallery (Miami), gave away a pair of $600 Adidas to a lucky person in the crowd.

One of the most anticipated Nike releases, the Nike Air Penny 1/2 Cent was officially released this past weekend on March 7, 2009. Although, some stores like Miami’s Shoe Gallery had the sneaker a week prior available to the public. The 1/2 Cent is special because its a hybrid design of all 5 previous Air Penny releases. I know its early in the year, but you can definitely expect these to go down as one of the best sneaker releases of 2009. And just as a heads-up, if you missed out with this colorway, the Triple-Black colorway should be releasing later this year…
