Located in the growing center of the Design District, Culture Kings isn’t your average sneaker outlet or local neighborhood boutique. Breaking ground in the summer of ’06 as the brainchild of owners Chris & Mike, the shop could easily have been lumped in as a direct result of the recent increase in popularity of the sneaker game. But, with a closer look inside the glass doors on 43rd St. and NE 2nd Ave., you can tell the owners aren’t just day traders in for the quick fix, but South Florida residents looking into growing their brand for that long-term return, which comes in pounds first, followed by dollar signs.
