Vans Warped Tour 2017
The theme of the day was “HOT”. The humidity was enough to make even the toughest South Floridian wonder why they live here. However, this did not stop the bands from playing like it was the last show they would ever play, and definitely did not stop the fans from going absolutely nuts when their favorite songs were performed. The intensity was high and seemed to only get stronger as the day went on. There were a multitude of genres ranging from new up and coming hip hop artists like Futuristic and Watsky to legendary punk bands like The Ataris and death metal Gods, or Devils I should say, GWAR!!! I should note, you have not lived your life till you’ve been gized and peed on with fake blood and space semen as you inevitably do at a GWAR show. I digress, one thing that a lot of the bands seemed to have in common was a very politically charged message to the world that we must all come together to stop hate, racism, terror, and phobias of people who choose to live their lives different than ours. All in all, I’m sure backstage was hectic but in front Warped Tour seemed to run perfectly synchronously with every band starting right on que and at their exact scheduled times. Warped Tour 17 was one for the record books and is show I’ll be attending for many years to come.
