Fashion Aficionados to

Copenhagen Fashion Week

COPENHAGEN- Copenhagen Fashion Week just wrapped, marking the Nordic Region’s largest fashion event, and the three day affair proved to be a fusion between Miami’s own Funkshion Fashion Week and Miami Fashion Week. CPHFW successfully marries Miami Fashion Week’s high-fashion, and Funkshion’s cool, unpretentious style, allowing for more fashion and less fuss.

Won Hundred, Elaine Hersby and By Malene Birger, among other designers, showcased their Spring 2017 Collection to much acclaim in settings as unique as the designs. Elaine Hersby transformed a bathhouse, while SAND Copenhagen hosted an epic soiree in their flagship store, featuring Aphrodite-approved models, and Moët poured by Viking-esque butlers. Some events required an invitation, but most were accessible with a simple RSVP. The result was a Fashion Week focused on pure design and a “come as you are” attitude that characterizes Danish fashion, and its foothold on future trends.
