There’s a lot of information to take in if you’re not familiar with the growing space. MiamiCoin is hoping to become the crypto currency of Miami on the Bitcoin Blockchain. The next question is utility for MiamiCoin and it’s local adoption. Once you have the coin: what can you do with it, any perks, parties, events, NFTs, Cafecito, croquetas, 50% off my next speeding ticket, what?
Now a part of the plan is to give Miami residents Bitcoin dividends. How will they handle and organize distribution of cryptocurrency wallets? Will the city have the seed phrase to the wallets? Do Miami residents know what a cryptocurrency wallet and seed phrase are?
Maybe, just maybe, the city can get locals motivated to vote during local elections if they received a secure crypto wallet where they will receive MiamiCoin / Bitcoin dividends.
What does this mean for developers? It means opportunity. Create utility for the crypto space. Look into building on the Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other blockchains. I’m glad to see the crypto space evolve across the board. Before you dive into crypto DO YOUR RESEARCH!
